Erik Christian Lund

Erik has extensive experience in transport and logistics, combined with valuable experience in technology, working in the enterprise software space. In previous roles, he was also involved in strategy consultancy and the telecommunications sector, particularly related to IoT and digital security. He is no stranger to entrepreneurship, having collaborated with several start-ups and worked with corporate innovation and venture building in the maritime and logistics space, and having built businesses of his own in technology and real estate.

Originally from Denmark, Erik has acquired a global perspective thanks to several long-term overseas assignments – in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, the U.S. and around Europe – before assuming this position with Visilion at Sony Network Communications Europe in Lund, Sweden.

Fab joined Blue Yonder as part of the i2 Technologies acquisition in January 2010 after spending more than 10 years at i2 serving in transportation-focused senior management positions. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics, with a specialization in business and information systems from the University of Waterloo in Canada.

Essa Al-Saleh joined Volta Trucks as the Chairman of the Board in October 2020. Last April 2021, Essa now holds the position of CEO and Board Member. Volta Trucks is an electric vehicle manufacturer. Before joining the Volta Trucks, Essa is the CEO of Agitero AG, an advisory and investment business based in Switzerland.  Prior to this, Essa was the President and CEO of Agility’s Global Integrated Logistics (GIL), based in Baar, Switzerland.  He had been with Agility since 1998 and assumed the CEO of Agility Global Integrated Logistics in 2007. During his time at Agility, Essa led the transformation of Agility GIL from a 300 person operation in one country into one of the top ten global logistics businesses, with over $4 billion in revenues operating in over 100 countries with more than 18,000 people.

Prior to joining Lonrho, Bruno spent four years with Swiss listed DKSH, Asia’s leading Market Expansion Services provider based in Zurich and Bangkok.

He previously sat on the Board of Directors of APL/Neptune Orient Line, Singapore and LUXAIR, the national airline of Luxembourg. Bruno currently sits on the Board of Bertschi Logistics and Global Airlift Solutions in Switzerland as well as the Houston based start-up e2log.

Across his long career, Bruno Sidler worked many years for Panalpina, where he served as CEO for 8 years. Subsequently, he served across a few executive roles in CEVA Logistics, and then as global COO of DKSH.

Charles Brewer

J. Florian Pfaff

Florian Pfaff is currently the Vice President Germany with Lufthansa Cargo. Based in Singapore, he will assume the role of Vice President Asia Pacific. Florian continued to report directly to Dorothea von Boxberg, Member of the Executive Board and Chief Commercial Officer.

Florian Pfaff, graduated with a business management degree, began his career at Lufthansa Cargo in 1989. After holding various marketing positions, he was appointed General Manager Sales and Marketing Germany in 1994. From 2000 onwards, Pfaff was responsible for various sales regions on the American continent from Los Angeles. In January 2005 he was recalled to Frankfurt and appointed Vice President Global Account Management. In May 2006, he assumed responsibility for sales and handling in more than 90 countries and 120 stations in Europe and Africa. As Vice President Germany since May 2011, J. Florian Pfaff has headed Lufthansa Cargo’s entire sales and handling activities in its home market Germany.

A successor for his present position is currently being sought.

Pfaff’s predecessor in Singapore, Frank Naeve, has been appointed Lufthansa Group Vice President Airline Sales for The Americas. He will take up his new position, based in New York City, during April 2019.

Wolfgang Meier

Wolfgang Meier is the President of Silk Way West Airlines. Meier started his career in the cargo industry as a Sales Executive over 25 years ago. He worked for global transportation companies such as Kuehne + Nagel and Panalpina. In Panalpina he was in charge of charter operations and scheduled network development. In 2009 he joined Volga-Dnepr Group management team as the Vice-President, Sales, AirBridgeCargo Airlines. His key responsibilities included coordination of the company’s sales, development of client relationships and key solutions for the further business success of AirBridgeCargo Airlines.

He has been appointed as Vice-President, Marketing and Development, VolgaDnepr Group from April 2014. In July 2016 Wolfgang was assigned as Senior Vice President of the Azeri SilkWay Group. The rapidly growing SilkWay Group assigned him to be responsible for the commercial development of the different cargo airlines within The Groups portfolio.

Dr. Susana Val is the Director of Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC). She is also an Associate Research Professor at MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program, Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics, and Principal Investigator for the Transport Research Group.
